Yannick Van Leuvenhage
Technical Project Manager
Yannick joined the technical project manager team at Verhaert Digital in January. Because he felt like he was already part of the team before he had made his final decision to join, and he can manage very interesting projects, he’s convinced he’ll enjoy his work for the next coming years. In his free time he’s a pas- sionate folklore dancer. But even on other good music his body makes automatic movements 🙂
What's the most interesting aspect of your job?
To help to create a reliable product with great added value for our customers. To achieve this I like the intense professional collaboration with our clients to share and discuss ideas in both directions.Â

What’s your biggest engineering challenge you have faced so far?
The biggest challenge, starting at Verhaert and coming from the Consumer Electronics world, was to dive into all of these, for me, less known technologies or products that come across. At the same time it’s this challenge that makes my job so interesting. Never a dull moment! Biggest engineering challenge so far? Within the very narrow technical and shape restrictions given, translating AB InBev’s air coupler into the safe and user-friendly CO2 coupler the team has made of it.
What do you consider the core
criteria for a successful customer
support department?
A good starting point is to have people in the customer support department who know the product they are supporting so you have never situations the client must explain something to the customer support employee. Next to that, you need to support employees with a kind and calm mindset which give the questions a gentle but realistic answer. And in the end, the team of the customer support department must function as one team because they need to have close cooperation with each other so everyone knows something about the running cases (or can find it somewhere well documented).
What do you enjoy about working
at Verhaert Digital Kortrijk?
The combination of modern benefits (home office, organizing my working times completely, handy working tools and nice colleagues whom I can rely on to bring our projects to a good end.
