Louise

What are you working on at the
moment?

Currently I’m working on 3 axes: defense, space and ophthalmic projects. I’m now finishing the transfer to the manufacturing department of a recurring defense production. I’ve been the project manager for this project since I started working at LambdaX. Moreover, I’m project manager for 3 space projects, two of them aim to develop the additive manufacturing for space, and the third one will help scientists understand fluid be- havior in microgravity. Last but not least, I’m leading the team who’s developing an automated machine that sorts the damaged optical glasses in-line for one of the major actors of the ophthalmic sector.

I strongly believe customer satisfaction starts with the good understanding of their needs and it is always worth spending time on it!

What's the biggest challenge
you've faced so far?

Having a mechanical background, my biggest challenge is to keep the simplicity in the projects. “Less is more” could be my favorite phrase. Whatever you’re working on, the complexity is always at the intersection between two separate entities. “Keep things simple” helps to reduce the number of interfaces, thus the complexity. It’s valid for technical designs, projects and teamwork.”

What motivates you at work?

I like to start with the customer needs. I strongly believe customer satisfaction starts with the good understanding of their needs and it is always worth spending time on it! After that comes the creativity to meet the requirements, this is what motivates me the most: Analyzing the clues to solve problems.
