What are your main tasks as a UX & UI Designer?
The main tasks of a UX/UI designer is to put yourself in the customer’s shoes. You have to understand their needs and behavior to generate ideas to solve the problems they have with minimal effort. Then, you think about the typography, color scheme, buttons and all other design elements to help the user navigate through the product, convert it to real designs and finally test them with the users.
“As a UX/UI designer you really have to put yourself in the shoes of your customers so you can fully understand their needs and behavior.”
Which characteristics does a good user interface have?
A good user interface should let the user achieve their goals, without any fuss. It means the interface needs to be clear, intuitive, consistent, feel and look familiar, in such a way that it and can be instinctively understood and comprehended. It should be proactive, meaning you foresee the needs of the end-user. Last but not least, it’s pleasing to the eye.”
How do you keep up the latest developments?
I mainly keep up with the latest UX and UI trends by browsing the best well-known design platforms out there. Dribbble and Behance are 2 examples where designers from all over the world showcase their creative work. I also like to check the latest software solutions in the blockchain industry, they tend to have functionalities and use cases that match the needs of our clients.
